About the FM Academic Track Internship
For over a decade, the Office of Facilities Management and Reliability (OFMR) has hosted interns from across the country and all over the world. Intern candidates interested in applying for the Academic Track should be currently participating in a four year degree course of study leading to a bachelor’s degree, a graduate level degree, or be a recent graduate (within 1-2 years of graduation). Over the course of their time with us, our Academic Track interns have the opportunity to participate in active Smithsonian FM projects, contribute their talents to our team, network, and participate in professional development workshops. Interns also have a lot of opportunities to have fun-whether it be ice cream socials, team building activities, or behind-the-scenes tours, we try to make learning about facility management at the Smithsonian a “Seriously Amazing” experience.
